Whether your stay is
temporary or
long-term, it is best to get a
Health Insurance for the duration of your stay in Canada. Some government provinces cover students under

their provincial health insurance plan but generally, Immigration Canada encourages students to be covered by private Health Insurance companies.
As far as accomodations are concerned, students have a wide array of options depending on their personal preference and budgetary constraints. For short-term stays, you can stay in hotels, bread & breakfast or the more cheaper youth hostels. Long-term stays include homestays arranged by your school, dormitories or for the more adventurous type, renting a basement or a condo suite.
All these must be taken into consideration before coming to Canada as this will ensure a more comfortable and care-free stay. Nothing beats a well-prepared visit to any foreign country!
